Florence Construction Corporation (FCC) is a certified WBE/DBE construction company incorporated in August 1998 by founder Florence Chilton. With more than 30 years of experience across numerous facets of the construction industry, Mrs. Chilton established FCC with a commitment to providing reliable, professional, and high-quality construction services.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Chilton developed extensive expertise in all phases of civil contracting, from bidding and project planning through construction, compliance, and project closeout. Her knowledge and experience have made her a valuable resource to clients, contractors, and professionals throughout the construction industry.
FCC began as a full-service construction company specializing in excavation, utility installation, landscaping supplies, and truck and equipment rentals. Over the years, the company has continued to build upon its experience and reputation as a dependable construction partner.
Leadership
In 2025, after more than two decades of leadership, Florence Chilton retired and transitioned ownership and leadership of the company to her daughter-in-law, Charlenny Chilton, who assumed the position of Owner and President of Florence Construction Corporation.
Charlenny brings more than 15 years of construction industry experience to FCC, along with a background in Civil Engineering. Her technical knowledge, industry experience, and commitment to operational excellence position FCC for continued growth while preserving the values and foundation established by its founder.
Under Charlenny's leadership, FCC continues to uphold its longstanding commitment to quality, safety, responsiveness, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
